Development Engineer - Automation, Applied Programming, AI - IRnova
The position:
Production processes at IRnova include test measurements and characterization of the products - large image arrays and integrated modules. Constant development of new products and their introduction to the market calls for intensifying of automation of tests and characterization processes at different levels and productions steps at IRnova.
Characterization processes employ a great deal of interdisciplinary knowledge and skills, such as technical physics, automation, electronics, applied and system programming.
Your main responsibility will be owning the automation part of the characterization process which will include
· Developing software and hardware infrastructure for all kinds of characterization procedures in production and development
· Maintaining applied software including production databases
· Participating in the development of the characterization methods and setups for the existing and new products, production support, customer support, etc
· Participating in development projects
· Working together with other Optronics and Development engineers on introduction of AI technologies into manufacturing and development processes
The position implies a great deal of practical work in the lab. You will work in close contact with other engineers from the Optronics team, the production team, R&D team, technical support for sales and customer support.
Competence Profile
Required
• Master degree in technical physics, electrical/electronic engineering, automation, or similar
• Experience and proven practical skills in automation and measurement techniques (e.g. SCPI based automation)
• Good practical skills in applied and low-level instrument programming (e.g. C/C++, Python, Java, Matlab)
• High level in both technical and communication English (written and spoken)
Valued
• Knowledge about the application of AI in industrial environments
• Knowledge about mixed signal electronics, for camera systems in particular
• Swedish and major European languages
